Who We Are
Recall is a local-first AI document workspace for individuals and teams. You can contact us about privacy at privacy@recall.app.
What We Collect
Account data includes your name, email address, profile photo, and sign-in provider identifiers supplied by Clerk or Google when you choose social sign-in.
Workspace content includes documents you upload, folder names, chat messages, search queries, invitation records, and workspace membership settings.
Operational data includes IP address, user agent, device details, logs, and event metadata needed to keep Recall secure and reliable.
How We Use Information
We use information to authenticate you, operate workspaces, sync documents, generate cited answers, send invitations, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell your data or use your documents to train AI models.
Local-First Processing
Recall Worker runs on hardware you pair with a workspace. File conversion, OCR, and indexing start there. Files leave your machine only when you upload or sync them through Recall features.
Service Providers
Recall relies on Clerk for authentication, Google for Google sign-in when selected, Cloudflare for application hosting and object storage, and model providers only when you explicitly use AI features configured for your workspace.
Security And Retention
Recall uses TLS in transit, encrypted storage, role-based workspace access, and audit-oriented server controls. Workspace content remains until you delete it or close your account. Operational logs are normally retained for up to 30 days unless needed for security or legal reasons.
Your Rights
You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by using in-app controls or emailing privacy@recall.app. Workspace owners may control access to shared workspace content.
Children And Changes
Recall is not directed to children under 13. If we make material privacy changes, we will provide notice in-app or by email before they take effect.
